Welcome to Broadfield East Junior School
The School was built in 1986 and now provides excellent and attractive accommodation for children aged between 7 and 11. There are specialist teaching areas for Science, Design and Technology and Information Technology.
A modern, high tech, Information Technology room was opened in September 2001. This houses an interactive whiteboard, projector and sufficient computers for a class. Each class base is fully equipped with an interactive whiteboard as well as computers for use by the pupils.
A library area and adjacent study / resources area offers a centre for research and information including access to computers.

There is a fully equipped, multi-purpose hall space that is used for physical activities, collective worship and at lunchtime for meals.
Small Class Sizes
Children work in single age, mixed ability year groups and the Governing Body work very hard to ensure small class sizes.
Close links are established between the Junior School and adjoining Infant School in order to share philosophies and ensure a smooth transfer for children at 7+.
Parents are informed of the curriculum developments and events of the School by regular newsletters and any who wish to become involved in its day to day work are most welcome to do so.
Broadfield East Junior School wishes to form a Home School Partnership with rights and expectations as set out on page 3. A Home School Agreement will come from the Infant School unless your child did not attend. If this is the case a Home School Agreement will need to be discussed.
Personal journals, class meetings and The School Council provide all children with the opportunity to influence the way the School is organised and as "safety valves" for problems.
